Zitara Crémant de Bourgogne Second Édition
Zitara Crémant de Bourgogne is the result of a special collaboration with Cave de Lugny – a historic cooperative winery founded in 1926 and recognized as one of the leading producers of Crémant de Bourgogne.
Crafted from 100% Chardonnay, the wine comes from the Les Crays terroir in the Saint-Gengoux-de-Scissé area – a source of expressive minerality, energy, and depth. The soils are composed mainly of marl and limestone, with patches of chalk and the small, characterful stones locally known as “quail eggs” due to their shape.
After 30 months of aging on the fine lees – a period exceeding the usual practice – Zitara Crémant de Bourgogne reveals elegance, a delicate creamy texture, and an aromatic profile interweaving notes of white peach, mirabelle plum, citrus peel, and toasted bread.
The wine impresses with remarkable purity and minerality, enhanced by the extended lees aging, which bestows finesse and balance reminiscent of the finest Champagnes.
Personally selected by Petar Iliev, winemaker at Four Friends Winery, Zitara Crémant de Bourgogne embodies a kind of beauty that does not impose itself, but gently whispers.
