    Dense, beautiful dark ruby ​​color with light violet tinge. Breed noble nose with hints of green pepper, black currant, blueberry and cocoa. Lively, full bodied with firm structure, velvety tannins and a long finish with mint, chocolate and blueberry. Can be consumed now, but there is potential for aging.

Where does great wine live?

Welcome to the Four Friends Winery that is located near the village of Gorno Botevo, not far from Stara Zagora. Here we grow our wine with lots of love, care and enthusiasm, from grapes born under the hot rays of the sun that shine down on our vineyards over 120 days per year.

The first vineyards for our winery were planted in 2006 after a careful selection of premium grape varieties, and in 2012 we started producing our first batches of superb, high-quality wines bearing the ‘Four Friends’ brand name. This boutique winery has the ambition of producing and creating a market share for the kind of wine that is characteristic of our region, with intense taste and an enchanting aroma.

Why ‘Four Friends’?

Wine is religion, wine is passion! The kind of passion that brought together four good friends with the same idea: to create high-quality Bulgarian wines in Southern Bulgaria, a region with a long history of winemaking. Luckily their idea was supported by a team of recognised oenologists.

The grape varieties

We know that the quality of the wine hinges on the varietal character. So after careful studies we selected the best varieties suitable to grow in the regions of Southern Bulgaria. Our winery has 40 ha of vineyards planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.

Out team of ‘oenosiasts’

A team of dedicated professionals united by their love for wine: the oenologist Petar Iliev, supported by Veneta Bakatdzieva and their team of wine makes and agronomists.

The production method

Our wine is created using the best classic methods, many of which involve handicraft, continuous quality control and a careful selection of oak barrels for aging the wine. Such an exciting combination of old tradition and state-of-the-art technology lies at the heart of the Four Friends wine’s unmistakable flavour.

Our wine is our philosophy, our world view. It is the sum total of many qualities: a rich palette of scents, a solid, intense taste, with just the right touch of chocolate, vanilla and spices. Whether a Merlot, a Cabernet Sauvignon or a blended wine, you pick the taste that best suits you, combine it with excellent food and enjoy every last drop of it.
